COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement FAQs

On August 9, Governor Inslee announced a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for most health care providers and workers. Here are a few things to know:

  • The requirement applies to every employee, volunteer, and contractor who works in a health care setting, whether or not they are licensed or providing health care services, and every employee, volunteer, and contractor who provides health care services for the health care setting operator.

  • If you are required to be vaccinated, reach out to your employer or human resources office to find out what to do to prove your vaccination status or if you have questions about a reasonable accommodation.

  • The Department of Health does not have forms for proving vaccine status or for requesting a reasonable accommodation. You should be able to get these from your employer or human resources office.

Please see the COVID-19 vaccine requirement for health care providers FAQs for more information about the requirement.
